Pasonanca has been home of most of Zamboanga's tourist destinations such as the tree house, helmet, abong abong. However, somewhere uphill, lantawan, is the grassland. a vast area overlooking zamboanga city.
How to get there: 1. Commute: Ride a jeepney to pasonanca then ask the driver to drop you at lantawan (P8) from the unloading area, ride a habal-habal. Just say the magic words: manong, grassland (P20-50) 2. Find a good friend with a good vehicle (cost: free) n.b. earlier posted last march 29, 2017

3/14/2017 0 Comments Limpapa: My zero peso adventure "Limpapa is located in Zamboanga City, Philippines. It is in the west coast and about 42 kilometers from downtown Zamboanga city. Limpapa is the last Barangay of Zamboanga City in the West Coast. It borders the barangay of Zamboanga del norte that goes by the same name: Limpapa in the municipality of Sibuco. " Source: http://www.zamboanga.com/z/index.php?title=Limpapa_Zamboanga_City_Philippines I have been planning to check out the infamous Limpapa bridge since my facebook feed was lately being flooded by its pictures. In fact, some on the prenups are done there lately. plus, all i need is a vehicle to go there since i won't spend anything from there yet return with tons of precious experiences.. and i was not wrong. On the way to the bridge, this picturerisque view will surely take your breath away and will have you telling the driver to stop even just for a few minutes. you would even bargain on the slow drive just to savor the moment. We drove for a few more minutes then we arrived in the infamous and iconic bridge. When we arrived, i just said, "oh bridge. it's just a newly painted bridge." Most of the pictures that i saw were caught while in the bridge, beside those red orange metal bars. under the bridge was a flowing river and we noticed that the water looked so fresh and i knew that i had to go down and feel that water. so yep, the atribida in me won and i decided to go down the bridge. It was then when i realized that indeed, angles matter. the best view of the bridge was not on it nor along the road but somewhere below it. Then it hit me. the limpapa bridge wasn't the real reason why a lot of people are going to limpapa but its view and water. so i took the liberty take pictures and a few clips while on the barangay. The river running under the bridge led us to the ocean which is only few steps away. my sandals didn't stop me from going into the water ☺ The ocean's waves and breeze welcomed me as i approached the ocean. How to get there:
